New panel to examine Clemenceau case
The controversial French ship Clemenceau cannot enter the Indian waters just yet.

13 February 2006 (New Delhi) – The Supreme Court will decide its fate after a new panel examines the issue.
The court has not accepted the report of the SC Monitoring Committee on the vessel, stating it may not be the proper body.
The decommissioned French warship is heading for Gujarat's ship-breaking yard at Alang with a huge cargo of toxic asbestos.
Ban imposed
Adjourning the case till Friday, the court ordered the formation of a new committee of experts from the Navy or the DRDO to examine the issue.
The Centre will have to give the names of members in the new committee.
The apex court has also banned protest dharnas and articles in the media until it is finished with the case and said any violation of the ban would be dealt with strictly.
