e-Waste in China – A Chinese woman strips wires from discarded electronics, cracking open plastic carcasses that once graced desks in the United States, Europe or Japan. Experts say the environmental liabilities far outweigh the money made from trashed tech gadgets that are made with lead, mercury and other toxic substances.
