International Trade News CHINA, 12 March 2002 -- Ministry of Foreign Trade and Economic Cooperation adjusted the management policy about import waste raw material, according to which, 11 coded commodities including waste plastic, waste automobile, waste metal tools and appliances, waste electric motor, waste ships and so on was stipulated as the waste raw material in the restricted import category. Ministry of Foreign Trade and Economic Cooperation, General Administration of Customs, General Administration of Quality Supervision and Quarantine and State Environmental Protection Administration jointly released the No.41 Announcement and the Notification About the Questions Concerning of Adjustment of Waste Import Environmental Protection Management. According to the above documents, 11 commodities including waste plastic, waste automobile, waste metal tools and appliances, waste electric motor, waste ships, waste wires, waste stainless steel sliver were restricted from import. The wastes materials listed in No,41 document including waste copper sliver, waste iron and steel sliver, waste papers should be implemented on import registration management.
